Mind Block / Privacy

Your data stays
close to home.

Mind Block is designed to help you personalize app blocking without requiring an account or sending your personal reminders to a Mind Block server.

Effective July 16, 2026

Data stored on your device

Mind Block stores the apps you configure as blocks, your block settings, photos, GIFs, or videos you choose for an intervention, short-lived state needed to coordinate an intervention with Apple Shortcuts, and your onboarding preference.

This information is stored in the app’s local container or App Group container so the Mind Block app and its App Intent can coordinate. Mind Block does not upload this information to a Mind Block server.

Photos and media

Mind Block uses Apple’s system media picker. The app receives only the media you select. Selected media is copied into Mind Block’s local storage for use in your interventions. Deleting a block also requests deletion of the media associated with that block.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

The current version of Mind Block does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or data brokerage. Mind Block does not sell personal information.

Apple services

Mind Block uses Apple-provided technologies including Shortcuts, App Intents, the system media picker, and local app storage. Apple’s handling of information through its services is governed by Apple’s policies.

Purchases and subscriptions

Mind Block offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payments and manages billing. Mind Block does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details.

Mind Block receives transaction and subscription-status information from Apple that is needed to complete a purchase, restore purchases, and provide access to subscription features. Apple’s handling of purchase and billing information is governed by Apple’s policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated before Mind Block introduces a feature that materially changes its data practices, such as cloud sync, accounts, analytics, or developer-operated online services.
